MY PERSONAL STYLE
Personal style is so important. Yes, of course we get ideas off one another but having your own personal style is an expression of one’s self. To me, the clothes I wear on a given day have a lot to do with my mood. If you look nice you feel nice! If I am dressed well I feel more confident and ready to approach the day ahead!
I would consider myself to be quite up to date with high street fashion trends. My favourite shop is Zara and I am an avid spender with ASOS online. I am a Queen of the basic staple clothing items. I don’t get too carried away with every trend that comes on the market. With the basics where can you go wrong?!
MY FASHION MUST-HAVES
My black suede Chelsea boots, black skinny jeans, polo neck tops and scarves are my must haves. Scarves dress up an outfit so much. Even if you are just wearing a basic top or jumper, add a scarf to take your outfit to the next level.
I moved to Shanghai in search of better international opportunities. Having just finished my MSc Marketing in Dublin I always wanted a job in international marketing. I felt I was too comfortable with my life in Ireland. I wanted a change. I had never been to China before I moved here so it was quite a big deal for me. My masters ended early August 2015 and after a few short weeks break, mid -September found me on a flight to Shanghai. It all happened quite quickly.
I have been living here five months now and things are only getting better. Working in China has most definitely opened my eyes to the world of business and it’s varying cultures. I love Shanghai, I have made so many great friends here. I have been exposed to places and things that I would never have been exposed to back home.
